IL FREEDOM SUPPORT ACT
Si tratta di una legge molto particolare varata negli Usa nel 1992 che prevede l'autorizzazione del sostagno alla democratizzazione ed occidentalizzazione dei Paesi dell'ex Unione Sovietica. Tale sostegno (anche economico) avviene soprattutto tramita l' OSI (Open Society Institute), un'organizzazione americana non governativa creata dal multimiliardario George Soros (lo stesso che dichiarò nel 2003 di voler abbattere il regime non democratico di Bush Jr).
Il metodo dell'OSI che prevede la democratizzazione tramite rivoluzioni pacifiche (rivoluzioni velvet) collect support from Democrats in the U.S. and was adopted in 2003 in Georgia, Ukraine in 2004, in Kyrgyzstan in 2005 and Belarus in 2006.
